History
French Bulldog originates from France and was bred originally as a “Toy Bulldog”, a lapdog or companion for ladies. It’s origins can be dated back to the 1800’s. The French Bulldog is also known by the other names of Bouledogue Francais. This dog is classified as one of the Non-Sporting Dog Group. The French Bulldog was first Registered by the AKC (American Kennel Club) in 1898.
