History
Chow Chow originates from China and was bred originally as a hunting & pointing dog but it was also used for its fur pelts and as a source of food. It’s origins can be dated back to antiquity. The Chow is famous for its unusual tongue which is black-blue in color. This dog is classified as one of the Non-Sporting Dog Group. The Chow Chow was first Registered by the AKC (American Kennel Club) in 1903. These dogs vary in every conceivable way from size, temperament, features and coats
